Welsh luxury carpets and flooring firm, which is one of only seven companies in Wales to be awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment, has unveiled growth and expansion plans. Linney Cooper, based in Llandudno and London and celebrating six decades in the industry, said it is continuing to focus on its commercial side where it has experienced growth.
The business also wants to do more on its doorstep in North Wales on the retail and domestic side, with that also a long-term priority. It comes after the company, which was awarded a Royal Warrant of Appointment from His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen, enjoyed a period of growth post-pandemic.
Founded by Robert Hughes in 1964, the family business has opened a luxury showroom in Rhos-on-Sea. Now it employs 30 staff and many more sub-contractors, supporting the local economy and providing services to high-end clients and private customers worldwide.
However its biggest market is interior design, flooring and upholstery maintenance, repair and installation, from Buckingham Palace to the National Trust, as the Royal family’s appointed supplier for generations.
